So in case you are wondering my opinion on them, here it is.

Mario Kart Wii:
As we all know, Wii doesn't have the graphics capabilities that other next gen consoles have. That being put aside, this game is amazing. I haven't played for more than 2 hours, mostly because I want to keep my skill level low, but what I have seen is great. The handling takes a little time to get used to if you adopt the new Wii Wheel (which I suggest to get the most entertainment), but you can stick to the Classic Controller or GC Controller if you aren't up for the challenge. This game is great as a party game. It really doesn't require much effort to be decent at it and its Mario Kart so its obviously a good time for all. I haven't checked out the online capabilities, but I hear they are decent. So overall I give it a MUST BUY.

Grand Theft Auto 4:
If you are a fan of the GTA series, you will love this game. If you are a fan of doing random shit in a virtual world, you will love this game. A friend of mine referred to this as a "sandbox game," meaning you get to play in a virtual sandbox. Well, if a virtual NYC is a sandbox, sign me up. You can drink (which actually impairs your aiming and driving), go on dates, kill people for no reason, and buy random shit. I mean what more do you need in a game. Also, they added an online component. My roommate is literally addicted to it. I think he spent more time doing that than actual game play. And even funnier, (this is the roommate who sold his Xbox 360 to me) went out and bought a new 360 just to play this game. So, Im gonna say for anyone with an Xbox 360 over the age of 17 ... this is a MUST BUY.

That's all I feel like reviewing right now. Might give you an idea of what Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is all about. I actually just started playing it (even though I bought it in December) and it is delightful so far.

As per requested

Oddly, apparently my lack of blog posts has become a problem for a few (and I emphasize the word few) people so I feel an update may be in order.

Well, I'm still doing the same old thing. I go to work, play some video games, hang out with people from time to time. I still can't sleep because apparently when you switch from working all night to working in the morning to working in the evening your body usually has a hard time adjusting. I'm trying to do something to fix that though. I pretty much just volunteered to become the pseudo fulltime baker at work so that I can get a set schedule. While I realize working at 5 AM sounds terrible, but when working midnights (which I am used to), I tend to stay up til at least 11. Therefore, plan is to stay up all night and sleep during the day unless I get used to the idea of waking up real early. Either way its something regular for awhile.

Also, I decided to quit smoking a little while ago. I assume most of you who might read this happen to know I was smoking for about two years. Well, I went over two weeks without and then had a little slip up. I don't really think I am in anyway addicted to smoking but it does have some social aspects that I still miss. They taste terrible though and I've always been a fan of the theory that if it tastes bad I'm not going to put it in my mouth.

I'm happy to say that summer is coming up which means one big thing to me: yard sales. I like to go yard saling, I can't explain it. Other people's junk just has its uses. So if anyone wants to go yard saling on the weekends (and lives in the state college area) let me know.

OH! I sold my car. I had a Mazda MX-6 with a blown transmission that sat in my parents yard for 2 years and some guy asked me about it. Granted I didn't really make a profit on it, at least it won't be a really expensive lawn gnome anymore. I sold it about a week before my birthday. That's right children, I past the quarter-century mark and am now 26. I bought myself some birthday presents this year instead of expecting others to do it. I got a new TV, Mario Kart Wii, and Grand Theft Auto 4 for Xbox 360. I will probably review those in awhile.

Yeah, I know my life is boring. So I'll steal one of Josh's great blog ideas and put up a picture of something sexy to end my post.

The Money Pit

Alright, so let's give a little bit of an update since I haven't written in awhile. Well, I can't remember if I bothered to mention that I had to dump 550 dollars into my car last month, but I did. My car decided that the serpentine belt wasn't quite right for it. In the process of trying to expel said belt, the car also cracked a few other key parts so I had to pay ALOT of money to get that taken care of. Today I spent another 250 on fixing my heater blower motor and a few other key components. I love wasting money on my car. I am definitely feeling like I should just be getting a new car at this point. Oh well.

I still have yet to update my video game collection. And since I have to keep spending money on my car, I can't spend as much on recreation as I'd like. So the choice becomes Super Smash or No More Heroes. I'm still leaning toward Smash just because of the added fun of multiplayer games.

Yesterday (well actually two days ago now I guess) was Valentine's Day. There's a holiday that any single person just loves to hate. I am not much of a big fan even when I do have someone to share it with. Everyone is forced to go out and spend money on their significant other just because it's been driven into their head since childhood that Feb. 14th is supposed to be that way. Well, I say fuck that. Buy your girl some flowers on April 10th or October 25th. She'll appreciate them more. Don't just get them cause someone tells you to. And PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, don't go out to eat, make her some dinner at home. If you can't cook, make pancakes. No too many people can screw up breakfast (take it from someone who cooks in a place where thats half of what we serve). Anyone can buy a dinner, not anyone can take the time to cook one. If you wanna show someone you care, show them. Go all out. Spend some time thinking about it. Be romantic. Take her for a trip. Sit under the stars. If its too cold to sit under the stars, spend money on a REALLY warm sleeping bag instead of a dozen roses. That's all a girl really wants. Not that you should take advice from a guy who spent Valentine's being single. Eh, do whatever you want.

I just saw Jumper tonight. Really good movie. I mean sure having Rachel Bilson to look at for about 30 minutes doesn't hurt, but its been awhile since I saw a movie that qualified as a romantic action flick. Other movies you should see because I say so: Shoot 'em Up ... its hilarious and well hilarious who doesnt wanna watch Clive Owen shoot people while protecting a child and telling us all what he hates about stupid people and shooting them for ruining his day, Across the Universe... a great musical and a really interesting idea ... who would have thought you could take twenty songs sung by one group and turn them into a logical plot (I'm thinking Kiss or Queen is next), and well if you haven't seen an episode of How I Met Your Mother go rent or buy it ... watching NPH hit on girls and try to explain the players way of life just makes me giggle to no end.

I suppose that brings me to work, I've spent over 60 hours working in 6 days. I got to spend most of my nights at the hell hole I call eat n park trying to make enough money to pay for my car. I suppose mission accomplished. Too bad I sold a little more of my soul for it though. Hears hoping I can stick to the plan and get the hell outta that place by the time my lease runs out. Just need to start saving up a couple of bucks to move. maybe.

Anyone wanna move somewhere fun in August?

Alcoholism

So, I was watching Intervention on A&E the other day. There was a lady who definitely had a drinking problem on it. I dont know if you've ever seen the show, but basically someone who has some addiction gets an intervention from her family with the help of a television show so the whole world can see how pathetic you are. Anyway, this lady has such a problem that her husband has been trying to stop her from buying alcohol. So what does she do? Of course she starts sucking down bottles of LISTERINE. SHE DRINKS FUCKING mouth wash... And every day she's blackout drunk all day long. How much mouthwash does an alcoholic have to drink to stay drunk all day ? A shit ton. Don't you think the people at the local grocery store would say a little something to the lady ? She must be buying at least 3 gallons of the shit a day. It was crazy. She got upset when she couldnt SEE her mouth wash...

So why talk about this? I don't know, perhaps my addiction to video games? Or poker? I would probably be addicted to gambling if I had more money. So all I'm really saying (aside from SERIOUSLY how much mouth wash would you have to drink to be drunk all day long) is that if I ever get that bad... Someone stop me by any means necessary.

Well, I'm gonna go get ready for some poker, so you all have a great night.

Great Fun Times

So tonight there was a Rascal Flats concert at the BJC. What does that mean to lil' ol' me? Well, here's the thing, Eat 'n Park and the W. T. (white trash) go together very well. As it happens, W. T. and country music also go together very well. I think you may be able to tell where I'm going with this.

On a night where we are expecting to be busy, my GM calls at 11 o' clock just to shoot the shit, cause she's on vacation down in Florida. Now, as some may know, 11 is the time that I have a ton of shit to do if I am working as the Cover Manager. So, this is extremely annoying to me. Then, all hell breaks loose and the W.T. are out in full force. Mountain Dew and Steaks with ketchup are everywhere. And everyone needs me to help them. If only I worked at a place where everyone could actually handle doing their jobs. (No offense to anyone who was there)

This is the life of Adam. I go to work, do everyone else's job, go home and repeat. I need a new job like whoa over here. Someone help. Really, burn down the building or I will.

On a lighter note, perhaps I'll go out tonight and enjoy the terrible singing of some other W.T. or at least listen to the new wave stylings of Jonathan. Who wants to miss that? I mean, it is Sunday, Arena is just what we do. I think I need a near death experience to push me out of this lull I've fallen into. Yes, I did just end a sentence with a preposition, yes I know I shouldn't.

And let's just talk about how much I enjoy having people talk about me. I found out yesterday that, apparently, upon becoming single, I have become the Eat 'n Park whore. Or at least thats what the rumors would have you believe. So far, I'm dating one girl, I've slept with another, and I just asked out yet another. It's weird how you can do so much and just not remember any of it. Screw you guys. I'm not dating anyone. I didn't ask anyone out. And I am not getting any. And in case you wanna know if any of those things happens, ASK ME. I'm a pretty open guy. If you care about my life, the best source on it (as far as I know) is ME.

Sorry. The rumor mill is killing me.

Does anyone have an opinion on what I should buy next, video game wise? I'm torn between spending the money I don't have on all sorts of games and still can't play the ones I have.

Tomorrow Never Dies

Alright, so I was thinking that I should take the time to explain the title I chose for my mind's playground. You may be thinking that it was some sort of a nod to a terrible Bond movie with one of the worse James Bonds ever. You would not really be correct. Its more like Groundhog's Day. Have you ever seen that movie ? 'Cause that's how my life feels.

I wake up and everyday just feels like the day before it. I eat, sleep, possibly play some video games or cards, and I work. Then, you just rinse and repeat. Now, I was kinda thinking that I should change the name to Today Never Dies or Tomorrow Never Comes, but hell, maybe I was ripping off a James Bond title.

Now, I'm guessing my tendency towards procrastination is the main cause for my days continuing end over end. For instance, the other day I hear that Northrop Grumman just signed a huge defense contract (meaning they should be getting a few openings). So I decide to throw in a resume online. I spend a couple minutes filling out most of the information, then I realized I'm not sure where my resume is saved. Then, a few days later i just kinda decided I didn't care anymore. Or another example: My computer keyboard was broken when it was shipped to me (I have a laptop, by the way). One of the keys (the T key) was broken and would pop off if hit the right way, which was pretty easy to accomplish. It wasn't so easy to put back together. After about 8 weeks, I decide to send Dell a complaint. Two days later a new keyboard is shipped to me. I'm a little annoyed that I'm forced to fix it myself, since it was faulty to begin with. Guess when I changed out the keyboards. That's right YESTERDAY. I waited in the vicinity of 4 months to take 20 minutes out of my time to fix it.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Oh and fun procrastination tools coming out for Wii soon:
No More Heroes (just released)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (March 9th)
Mario Kart (April)

and I'm sure that I could find something new to play on 360 as well, like COD 4 maybe ?

Oh and if anyone reading this has Xbox Live and Halo 3 let me know.

Maybe its time for bed.

First Post

So, after much contemplation, (and reading Gideon and Josh's blogs) I've decided that I should throw my own into the fray. Unfortunately, at current moment I don't have much to say other than that I will have more to say later.

One of Gideon's recent blogs referring to Time not being on his side. Well, I feel your pain. At current moment I have two games that I've purchased but haven't really played at all, and more are coming that I want but I'm not sure I have time for. I need to play Assassin's Creed (360) and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (Wii) and No More Hereos (Wii) looks amazing. Movies are the same way. I think I'm falling behind because I am single now and more prone to go with someone to catch a flick. So yes take that as an invite to any movie worth seeing if you are reading this.

Anyway, thats all I have to talk about at current moment. More will follow I'm sure.

Adam
