Alright, so I was thinking that I should take the time to explain the title I chose for my mind's playground. You may be thinking that it was some sort of a nod to a terrible Bond movie with one of the worse James Bonds ever. You would not really be correct. Its more like Groundhog's Day. Have you ever seen that movie ? 'Cause that's how my life feels.
I wake up and everyday just feels like the day before it. I eat, sleep, possibly play some video games or cards, and I work. Then, you just rinse and repeat. Now, I was kinda thinking that I should change the name to Today Never Dies or Tomorrow Never Comes, but hell, maybe I was ripping off a James Bond title.
Now, I'm guessing my tendency towards procrastination is the main cause for my days continuing end over end. For instance, the other day I hear that Northrop Grumman just signed a huge defense contract (meaning they should be getting a few openings). So I decide to throw in a resume online. I spend a couple minutes filling out most of the information, then I realized I'm not sure where my resume is saved. Then, a few days later i just kinda decided I didn't care anymore. Or another example: My computer keyboard was broken when it was shipped to me (I have a laptop, by the way). One of the keys (the T key) was broken and would pop off if hit the right way, which was pretty easy to accomplish. It wasn't so easy to put back together. After about 8 weeks, I decide to send Dell a complaint. Two days later a new keyboard is shipped to me. I'm a little annoyed that I'm forced to fix it myself, since it was faulty to begin with. Guess when I changed out the keyboards. That's right YESTERDAY. I waited in the vicinity of 4 months to take 20 minutes out of my time to fix it.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Oh and fun procrastination tools coming out for Wii soon:
No More Heroes (just released)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (March 9th)
Mario Kart (April)
and I'm sure that I could find something new to play on 360 as well, like COD 4 maybe ?
Oh and if anyone reading this has Xbox Live and Halo 3 let me know.
Maybe its time for bed.

Dude, Brosnan was not even close to being one of the worst Bonds ever. in my opinion he's one of the best. then again, if you consider the fact that there have been only 6 bonds, being "one of the worst" simply translates to not being in the top 3. but even then, i cant see it. i can see connery being above him, but dalton and lazenby are definitely below him. i dont remember moores work very well, and craig was great but he's only done one so far. and that one wasn't even very bondy (no gadgets, not enough puns) so i categorize his performance as "awesome character in awesome movie" until the next bond comes out. that puts brosnan as anywhere from 1-3, but thats just me.
regarding procrastination, its not something that can be resolved cold turkey. you've gotta work at it. it also helps if the decisions you're trying to make or the actions you're trying to take have actual consequences should they not be completed by a certain time. it's that potential failure that motivates. so perhaps you just need to implement pseudo consequences for yourself. something as simple as "cannot watch t.v. until such and such is done" goes a long way.
with regards to gaming, i dont know what you already have, so its hard to recommend something. id say to get cod 4 before no more heroes though. burnout paradise just came out, and devil may cry 4 is next week. and if you havent gotten bioshock or orange box yet, you should do that too.
Gideon,
I can't afford to get Bioshock, the Orange box, and COD 4 on top of all the newer games that have just started hitting the scene. Besides I have Halo 3, personally I think having more than one decent first person shooter might be going a little overboard. Though I do hear that COD is better. I thought Devil May Cry was only a PS3 title, a system which I will not purchase... for various reasons.
You might appreciate knowing that I am watching FF7: Advent Children as I type this.
List of games that I do already own... For the newer platforms anyway:
Wii: Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Wii Play
Wii Sports
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Strikers Charged
Rayman Raving Rabbits
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Link's Crossbow Training (which doesn't really count but indicates I have the Wii Zapper as well)
For 360:
Assassin's Creed
Halo 3
Madden 2008
Perfect Dark something something
and some older ones that came with it since I bought it off my roommate and I dont play them so I cant remember
oh, and Bronsan was only good in that he looked the part of Bond more than most. He looked like he COULD be the suave, sexy super agent that was gonna kick your ass and then screw your widow or maybe that should be the other way around. Unfortunately, he could never act the part.
Well when recommending orange box im really only recommending portal, and if your computer can run it id say just get that separately.
otherwise, i can understand the desire to get games in a variety of genres, but sometimes newer isnt better. id say that bioshock and cod are better than anything you have for the wii (save for zelda and galaxy), but if you dont want too many fps', id say get bioshock and rent cod, since its more multiplayer centric and youve got halo already.
and what about guitar hero/rock band? those are always a blast.
and i do appreciate your advent children watchingness. id watch it myself, except its in storage right now.
Well, personally, if I'm gonna play DDR I'll play ddr. I dont need some cheap imitation with a silly guitar remote instead of a dance pad. honestly, I thought you were better than that dizzle
